Sharing My Passion for Art with the Talented Students of Loreto Kirribilli

by Lara Scolari

I am thrilled to announce that this September, I will have the incredible opportunity to share my love of art with the bright minds of Loreto Kirribilli, one of Sydney's most prestigious schools for young women. It's an absolute honor to be invited as an artist-in-residence at this magnificent institution, where I'll be facilitating workshops for over 320 students and staff.

Art has always been my passion, a boundless source of energy and joy, and I can't wait to bring that energy into the classroom. During my residency, I’ll be sharing not only my techniques and methods, but the joy that comes from creating something deeply personal and expressive. Through these workshops, I hope to inspire the students to tap into their own creativity, helping them discover the power of visual art as a means of self-expression.

The workshops will be dynamic, hands-on experiences, where I will demonstrate my own artistic processes—everything from the way I build compositions to how I blend colors, layer textures, and infuse emotion into my work. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where the students can explore and experiment freely, unlocking their imaginations and building confidence in their artistic abilities.

It’s going to be an exciting and enriching month, and I am counting down the days until I can share the magic of art with such a talented and enthusiastic group. I look forward to witnessing the students’ creations and their interpretations of the world around them through the lens of art.

Stay tuned for more updates, and follow along as we embark on this creative journey together!
