Thrilled to Be in Dubbo for the RFDS Black Tie Ball!

I’m absolutely delighted to be in Dubbo, in the heart of Western NSW, for a truly special occasion — the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Black Tie Ball, hosted by the wonderful team at Rotary Club of Dubbo South.

It’s an honour to support this incredible event, which brings together the dedicated and generous community that relies on, and works alongside, the invaluable RFDS. This biannual gathering celebrates connection, country, and care — all values that are close to my heart.

Even more exciting, my original artwork “Desert Beat” has been selected by Designer Rugs Australia to be transformed into a luxurious fine art rug, which will be auctioned live at the Ball to raise vital funds for the RFDS.

“Desert Beat” is a mixed media piece that celebrates movement, rhythm, and the timeless spirit of the Australian Outback. With gestural lines, rose gold leaf, and earthy tones, this work is all about the joy of living in harmony with wide open spaces. The energy of this painting has translated beautifully into the rug design — a true merging of art and craft.

It means so much to contribute my art to support such a vital service, especially in a region where the RFDS is truly a lifeline.
