"Lone Star" captures the raw beauty and resilience of Texas' sun-drenched boulders and vast landscapes. Through fluid layers of ochres, umbers, and fiery reds, I explore the interplay of light, land, and atmosphere in my signature gestural style. Translucent veils of colour evoke movement and transformation, while golden accents reflect hidden energy within the terrain. This work embodies strength and fluidity, inviting the viewer to feel the sun’s warmth, the sky’s expanse, and the earth’s grounding presence—an expression of nature’s enduring spirit and the rhythm of the wild, untamed land.
