Inspired by hiking through the Noosa Hinterland, this large-scale mixed media work captures the raw beauty where bushland meets coastline.
Abstracted forms and translucent layers evoke the silhouetted ridgelines, lush greens, ocean blues, sandy tones, and grey pumice rock of the Sunshine Coast.
The work reflects the landscape’s shifting light and energy, offering a meditative response to place. Rather than a direct depiction, Noosa Hinterland is a visual memory — a sensory map of colour, movement, and form that celebrates the spiritual and elemental connection between land and sea in Australia’s wild natural terrain.
